The Encounter of the People of Austria with US Soldiers after
World War II
An Austrian-American Dialogue
Hello, I am trying to find out about an American officer assigned to the military hospital located near the Viennese suburb of Grinzing, Austria in the 1945-1946 time frame. Close austrian friends have been trying to locate him or his surviving family members to thank him for saving the life of one of their children. They have been unsucessful. His name was Nussbaum and was a Captain in the Medical Corps. The name of the family was Troll of Grinzing. Any help in this quest would be greatly appreciated!
