About This Site

The project's initiation, historical research and scholarly preparation is the work of Ingrid Bauer Ingrid Bauer, head of the Forschungsgemeinschaft Boltzmann-Institut/Steinocher-Fond in Salzburg, Austria.

The Forschungsgemeinschaft Boltzmann-Institut/Steinocher-Fond is a non-university research center for social history and cultural studies of the 20th century.
Present research concentrates on:

• historical-anthropological studies on war and gender
• social historical and intercultural aspects of the occupation period in Austria
• genderhistory in Austria after 1945

The project's interface with the WorldWideWeb is being carried out by IMAGE Kommunikationsdesign GmbH.
IMAGE was founded in 1989 by a psychologist and is a consultant company which specializes in communications design with New Media. Managing Director is Albert Topitz.
